During the first half of spring term, we will be learning at home remotely due to the Government guidance. Miss McGrath and Mrs Salik will be doing the best that we can to provide you with fun and engaging lessons that follow the national curriculum in an accessible way.
We understand that this isn’t as easy as being in school but each day we will aim to post accessible, core, Maths and English lessons with videos to support, along with lessons to support other areas of the national curriculum.
This will be done through our remote learning platform on class dojo with live sessions taking place on zoom every day at 10:30am. In time, it is our aim to move our Year 4 class onto the Microsoft teams platform, following the guidance of Year 5 and 6 who have already trialled this and have had an interactive success. This will be done in the coming weeks once we have the IT resources to provide all the children in Year 4 with and therefore, having a successful transition to this innovative platform.
In the meantime, we will be learning:
Maths: Multiplication and division
English: Grammar focus
Topic – Geography and History: My Manchester – our local area and all the things that put Manchester on the map including the industrial revolution and the impact on our society.
Science: Living things and their habitats
RE: Special Journeys
Languages: Spanish – Conversations that are all about me.
Art: Drawing buildings and Lowry
P.E: Keeping fit and healthy
Please do not hesitate to contact myself or Mrs Salik through class dojo if any support is needed.
