Nursery

Welcome to Nursery
Our Nursery class is a welcoming and inclusive environment where children thrive and grow as part of our two-form entry primary setting. Our trauma-informed approach and experienced, multilingual team ensure that every child feels safe, valued, and understood.
With a carefully planned curriculum that builds on previous Daycare experiences and links seamlessly into Reception, we ensure every child is supported to be the best that they can be.
We continue to build on children’s knowledge of our twelve essential rhymes and texts from Daycare with another set of twelve essential rhymes and texts for Nursery Class. Children in Nursery Class begin their early reading journey through the Little Wandle Foundations for Phonics programme. They develop a strong understanding of number and pattern through White Rose Maths.
All children benefit from a universal, funded Forest School offer, giving them rich opportunities to explore, play, and learn outdoors. Our provision places strong emphasis on communication, personal and social development, and early learning through high-quality, play-based experiences.
With strong links to the wider school and a clear focus on readiness for Reception, our Nursery Class lays the essential foundations for confident, curious, and happy learners.
